This isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to exploring the streets of Charleston. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful and unique places I’ve been to in the United States. I love it so much that I try to go once a year…so far I’ve been pretty successful at doing so. But man oh man, it is hot hot hot.
The next time I visit I’m officially going to give up on curling my hair because it’s pointless with the humidity. I’ve tried countless products and I just can’t beat the humidity. This trip I did find a sweat-proof makeup routine that I think deserves a post of its own. I was honestly surprised at how well it stayed on as I sweated my way through the day.
See what I mean with this hair?! It was perfectly curled when we left for the day but a few hours later and it was a mess.
I’ve finally figured out a outfit that is super comfy, lightweight, and perfect for exploring…summer dresses!!! I wish I would have thought about this sooner mainly because it’s so easy to just pack a dress vs. putting a whole outfit together plus it’s a total luggage space saver.
I love how this dress works so well with all the colors of the historic Charleston homes, it’s almost like I planned it that way (wink wink).
When I’m out in the sun all day, I need something on my head to save my face from the sun. #fairskinproblems It really helps prevent me from burning. My go-to hat is normally my Brixton hat but for Charleston, I wanted something without black so I snagged this hat at Target. It’s such a great size. Of
My favorite thing about this outfit is my bag. It was a super random TJ Maxx find that I’m so happy I found. I love anything with rattan caning and the size of it is just perfect. The best part is that you can shop TJ Maxx online!! Who knew!
I’m eventually going to work on another Charleston travel guide but if you’re going anytime soon you can check out my previous guides below!
Have you been to Charleston?! If you have, I’d love to know your favorite spots so be sure to comment with them below!
