Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you had a great weekend! The last few weeks have been exceptionally busy for me and this week is going to be no exception. At this point in the month, this girl could really use a lazy day of not really doing anything!
I have a really cool event that I’ve been working on the last 6 weeks that has its last leg of installs going on this week and then it’s off to the races (that’s a hint as to what it is and no, it’s not Kentucky Derby related). I’m going to try and share some on InstaStories when I can. Fingers crossed for good weather and no excessive winds.
Despite the busyness, I have a few things that I’m really loving this Monday that I wanted to share!
I can’t lie, I’m extremely excited about this collaboration! I
Two: Wall Sconces
I have been on the hunt for some wall scones the last few months. I’ve scoured and scoured the vintage antique markets and have come up short. Naturally, I would love one that is an actual light but considering I can’t power it up I’ve been on the hunt for a candle version instead. When I saw Ashley Kane post this picture, I too, fell in love with the same candle sconce. I love love love Ashleys style!! I’m now just trying to find a permanent home for mine in the apartment. I’m torn between flanking the sofa with them or separating them by putting one over the bar cart and one in the entry.
Ryan and I are heading on a trip to Charleston and Savannah at the end of May after spending a few days in Annapolis for my brother’s graduation. I’ve never been to Savannah but I am SO EXCITED to go, it’s been on my list of places to go for some time now. My co-worker lent me this book to read before going. It’s a true story based in Savannah and I’m excited to dive into it.
Four: Getting My House Cleaned
Okay, I can’t lie my friends totally make fun of me for getting my tiny apartment cleaned monthly. It’s totally fine, you can make fun of it too, I don’t mind! Hear me when I say this though, getting your house cleaned (no matter how big or small) monthly is honestly life changing!! We’re busy and I hate having to spend my weekends cleaning and just getting ready for the next week. Having a cleaner come once a month to do a really good deep clean makes it easy for us to maintain the rest of the month. I’m never going back to not having it done, that’s honestly how big of a difference it makes for me. It’s one thing that’s really nice to have taken off my plate each month. I highly recommend it!!
Tip: You may have to try a few different cleaners before you find “the one” and when you finally do it will all be worth it.
Five: My New/Old Desk
My new/old desk is finally here!!! I call it that because it’s new to me but old because it came from my father-in-law. It was his childhood desk. I swear they really don’t make furniture like this anymore. The detail work that this desk has is SO GOOD. I added these handles and pulls to and love them. I can’t wait to get to styling! I’m going to be working on an updated apartment tour sometime in June and will share the full desk then but for now, here is a sneak peek.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
