Happy New Year, Lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Christmas and New Years! I took a week or so off from blogging and regularly posting on social media, and it was much needed. Between spending time with family, friends, and hosting a few parties this last week there just wasn’t much time to blog. I also wanted to soak up a little down time to rest and recharge my batteries. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at your favorite posts from 2017 (according to the analytics) to kick off this new year.
January
You guys LOVED my “office” tour and I am so glad you did! This was actually the first post that I shared with you all of our new apartment that we had moved into back in 2016. I love this apartment but it’s lack of space poses a challenge so I had to get creative with coming up with an office space. Because the office is actually in our living room, I wanted the decor to coordinate with the rest of the room so that everything flowed design wise. Now I have to be honest, I expected that we would get a lot of use out of this area, but we don’t. It’s kind of become the catch all area, but so it goes.
February
Turns out that you all love a festive bar cart as much as I do!!! I think Valentine’s Day is one of the best holidays to deck out the bar cart because I don’t put up any other Valentines related decor so I really let the bar cart shine. February always feels like such a pick me up after a long dull month of January dreariness.
March
It’s no secret, people go C R A Z Y for Lilly Pulitzer, myself included! My friend Amy Beth Campbell and I teamed up in March to give away one of the Starbucks x Lilly x Swell water bottles that we (and the rest of the country went cray cray for). If you haven’t had a chance to read the story you totally should because it’s a funny one, you can read it in this Lilly Pulitzer + Starbucks post. Coming in at a close second place was my spring cleaning tips that I shared. I really loved this post because I love sharing tips and tricks that work for me. This post in particular actually sparked my “tips and tricks” section on the blog.
April
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t care for March and April…like at all. My allergies are terrible and the weather is just plain weird that time of year. It feels like this awkward inbetween stage to me. That’s why I had to do something that perked me up a little bit more about that time of year by creating a fun Easter tablescape. I loveeeeeee the colors in this table and just how the entire tablescape turned out.

How To Care For Your Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree
This post has been the most popular through Google search, and that makes me happy because that means so many others love fiddles as much as I do. If you have a fiddle then you know how finicky they can be which is why I knew I had to share my tips after keeping mine alive. I LOVE when readers message me saying their fiddle is thriving after following my tips and tricks.

T W E N T Y N I N E: What I’ve Learned In My Twenties
This is one of my personal favorite posts because it forced me to reflect on the things I’ve learned and taken to heart in my twenties. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, then you totally should because I think there are some great lessons in there. Some of the lessons were not easy ones that I learned but I feel like they have made a huge impact on my life once I learned them.
This post is a special one to me because it was my first real brand collaboration! This was such a big deal to me because when I started this blog it was purely for a creative outlet and fun. So for a brand to reach out directly and want to partner with me to promote their product was a definite “pinch me moment.”
July
This was actually the only post from July because I was busy working on the back end to relaunch A Married Adventure. July is also one of those months mid-year where it’s nice to take a little break, catch your breath, and enjoy the ample amounts of sunshine.
August
Words cannot even describe how excited and happy I was to relaunch my new website design! I think it’s safe to say that you all loved it too because my traffic sky rocketed after launching the new design. It’s no secret that I actually don’t like the name A Married Adventure as much as I used to, so having a pretty new website was just what I needed to hold me over until I change the blog name entirely.
September
Hands down, this was the most popular post from September! I can’t say I’m surprised, because I’m obsessed with Chip and Jo, just like the rest of the country. Seriously though, who doesn’t love themselves a little (or a lot) of this Fixer Upper couple?! Every time I watch Fixer Upper I tell Ryan that I could totally live in Waco to have a house like one of the Fixer Upper reveals. Only to then remind myself that I’m a California girl and don’t think I could actually ever leave….unless it was for Charleston.
October
October was full of a few of my favorite blog posts, so if it were up to me I would pick them all to share. Stats wise, tips for working from home was the most popular. If you work from home then you know how challenging it can be to say focused and on task. This reason alone is why I think this post did so well. I’m happy I was able to help all your productivity levels. My personal favorite post from October was To Do A First Look Or Not. If you’re a bride-to-be and on the fence about whether to do a first look or not you should read this post.
November
To date, my living room home tour has been one of the most popular blog posts. That means y’all love home decor as much as I do. I love seeing peaks into other bloggers lives and homes and I absolutely loved sharing a peak into the Pizante home. Our apartment is small but I still have a few home tour posts up my sleeve. Coming this year is our, bedroom, kitchen, and possible entry way if I can get good enough pictures of the entry space (it’s narrow and hard to photograph). So stay tuned for those!
Black Friday With Serena & Lily
Black Friday with Serena & Lily is another one of my personal favorite posts because it was a dream brand collaboration for me. I have swooned and admired Serena & Lily for years now so for them to reach out to me was another serious “pinch me” moment. This Brahms Mount Herringbone Throw has also become my favorite throw blanket!
December
I was so excited when I shared my living room home tour with you all, but may have been even more excited when I shared my holiday home tour because Christmastime is my absolute favorite. This year in particular I really loved my tree! I loved the colors that adorned it, how those colors matched the overall look of our living room, and that it didn’t give me allergies.
I’m excited to see what 2018 has in store for me blogging, professionally, and personally. I feel like it’s going to be full of changes and really embarking on new journeys, whatever those journeys may be. I’m currently working on both my personal and blogging goals that I will be sharing with you all here on A Married Adventure once I have them ready to go. I’m also working on a post about where I want this little blog of mine to go in the new year and what that will look like for all of you. I’m also working on my content calendar ( I use that term roughly). I’m really just figuring out what kind of content I want to post, eliminate, and then figure out what months I want to post it in. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
Cheers to the New Year!
