HOLY SHIPLAP!! Chip and Jo making their way to the shelves of Target?! Talk about a DREAM collaboration! I’m so excited to see the pieces of the new Hearth and Hand collection that will grace the shelves of Target with each coming season! I fell in love with so many different home goods during our visit to Magnolia Market at The Silos that I’m just tickled pink with excitement to see this new collection. Because let’s face it, we all know it’s going to be GOOD, like really good! My style isn’t even the same as the Gaines’ but somehow I’m still completely obsessed with everything they do. How do they do that?!
With all that said, I figured this week was a perfect week to finally share some pictures of our visit to Magnolia Market back in June. If you’re a Chip & Jo fan and you’re visiting the Austin area, then you really should make the trip. It’s 100% worth it. There’s not a single detail missed, not even in the bathrooms. I swear everything they touch turns to gold! The entire grounds are filled to the brim with the perfect touches of white, black, and natural woods; which happen to be one of my favorite combinations.
We went right before most schools were out for the summer in the middle of the week. And Magnolia Market was BOOMING. I was shocked at how many people were there during the middle of the week. If you are able to swing it when you visit I would definitely try to go during the week. I can’t even imagine how many people are there during the weekends.
The line for the bakery was long, but the wait was so worth it. The gluten-free chocolate chip cookie was probably one of the best gluten-free cookies I’ve had. I wish I would have gotten two, haha! My favorite food truck was Cheddar Box; who doesn’t love a grilled cheese sandwich? The one I had was made with gluten free bread, gouda cheese, bacon, and basil. If you watch my InstaStories then you know I’m obsessed with basil. Hands down, best grilled cheese I’ve had! If you’re gluten free, you’re in luck because most of the food trucks do have gluten free options.
If you go in the cooler months, you should totally play some of the lawn games and relax on the black and white stripe bean bags. I wanted to do both of these but it was too darn hot and I just couldn’t hang in the direct sun. Texas heat is no joke and this California girl just can’t deal. Gimme allllll the AC. We spent most of our visit eating, shopping, and taking pictures.
If you haven’t read it yet, you should read Chip and Jo’s book. It made the trip to not only Magnolia Market more exciting but Waco in general. I love their whole story as a couple and the background on how they even got the Silos. It’s a great read that is sure to make you wonder how Jo hasn’t completely lost it with some of Chip’s decisions but genuinely a heart warming story. Once you read The Magnolia Story, you’re sure to fall even more in love with them.
Who else already sees the money running out of their wallets before Hearth and Hand has even hit the Target shelves?! Tell me I’m not alone! If you’re planning a trip to Magnolia soon, feel free to ask me any questions you may have, because I could talk for days about our visit.
