Happy Fourth of July weekend!! This four day weekend could not have come at a better time for me. I feel like I’ve been going and going non-stop this last month or so. So a long weekend is just what I needed. This weekend’s plans consist of getting some things done around our apartment. You know, super fun things like patching holes and planting new flowers and herbs… y’know… #adulting. I do also see some pool time and sangria in my future this weekend (updated *stronger* sangria recipe coming to the blog soon!). After the holes are patched and painted, there are a few small tweaks to make around the apartment. Then it will finally be ready to photograph for the blog. I can’t wait to share it with you all!
Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays because I LOVE fireworks, sparklers, and the “red, white, & blue” along with just about everything that has to do with the holiday in general! It’s always such a relaxing day filled with barbecuing, pool time, and just an all around good time.
I dream of the day that I own my own home with a big backyard and can host family and friends for a huge Fourth of July get together. One day!! Styling tables is one of my favorite hobbies so I thought it would be fun to put together a chic table for the Fourth of July but that’s also easy for anyone to do.
The easiest way to style a table is to find one element that inspires you and design around that. For me, it was the napkins! Once I had those, the rest of the table just fell into place. For you, it might be a glass or a fun votive. Whatever it is, use it as your inspiration and it will make styling a table 10x easier.
I actually photographed this table at my Father-in Laws when it was 110 degrees, yes 110. The flowers started dying because it was SO HOT! I had to swap some out for ones I found in the backyard. 110 degrees is no joke, my friends!
I found my inspiration napkins at HomeGoods, of course. The darling china was also a HomeGoods find that I found on clearance a while back. The cute faux wooden chargers are from Michaels a few years ago that you’ve probably seen on the blog a few times. I absolutely love these wooden and white chairs!
I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend and enjoy ample amounts of sunshine!
