I have a feeling this is going to be the BEST week ever because I’m headed to the happiest place on earth! Mickey Mouse, I’m coming for you!! It’s a girls trip that is going to be filled with all things Disney (obviously) and then a good ol’ sea breeze with stops to Santa Barbara and Pismo Beach. Girls trips to Disneyland are SO much fun, I definitely recommend them!
I have to admit I am the WORST packer ever! I over pack….every S I N G L E trip, no matter where I’m going. During a normal week, I will literally wear the same outfit multiple times depending on who I’m seeing (never if I’m seeing the same people, duh!). But when I take a trip I almost always end up packing three outfits per day. Does anyone else do that? Tell me I’m not the only one!
Don’t worry, I’ll spare you all the details about my ridiculous amounts of outfits that I’m packing. I will, however, share a few tried and true items that I do always pack with me when I visit the Disneyland Parks.
No trip to Disneyland is ever complete without a set of ears! My ears are a few years old and part of the Disneyland 60th anniversary collection.
Now, if you’re like me and you have terribly high arches, then you know that comfortable shoes are an absolute must in Disneyland. I’ve made the mistake and worn cute little sandals that matched with perfection alongside my cute outfit, but did absolutely nothing for my feet. Actually, they did “some”-thing, that “thing” being that my feet were sore for a week afterwards! BAD idea, BAD! Now that I’m older and wiser I go for a pair of cute YET also comfortable sneakers.
Crossbody bags are just the best, aren’t they? It’s like being hands free all the time. I usually prefer a crossbody as opposed to a backpack because I find it much more functional. And, HELLO, obviously for style purposes! I don’t have to stop and take it off to get something out and don’t need to worry about where to stash it on rides. If you have the right size crossbody you can usually leave it on during the rides too, double plus! The particular color of my Coach bag in the picture is no longer available but I have a feeling come summertime they might have something similar.
Between taking pictures, using the Disney apps, or scrolling through social media while waiting in line for rides, you’ll definitely want to make sure you have something to charge your phone with when your battery runs low.
This one is an obvious must, right?! HOWEVER, I have forgotten to put sunscreen on before while in Disneyland and will NEVER make that mistake again. It was one of the worst sunburns I’ve ever had. Spray sunscreen is my go-to because I find it easier to apply compared to regular sunscreen. However, I do not use this one on my face, if you need a good facial sunscreen I highly recommend —->> this.
I love me some layers and Disneyland is the perfect place to load em’ up. I’m always chilly in the mornings but definitely warm up come the afternoons and then chilly again come evening. I like to carry a thin jacket or a button up long sleeve that does the trick of keeping me warm but can also be stuffed in my bag.
Does anyone else think the price for a water bottle in Disneyland is INSANE?! I think it is, so I bring my own to refill. That has to be at least a $50 dollar savings with how much water I drink. Hydration has never been a problem for me.
Snacks are always a must for me. **Read:”I get hangry without food”**
Especially being gluten free, you always have to be prepared with snacks that you know you can eat.
Just trying to prevent wrinkles from squinting over here, so the bigger the better!
Because who wants greasy skin in all those pictures you’re going to be taking? I don’t and neither should you!
Kids + crowds of people + so many surfaces to touch = germ central. I’m kind of crazy when it comes to washing my hands but sometimes you just can’t so hand sanitizer is a must when in a pinch.
Germs. Late nights. Early mornings. All of these are breeding grounds for catching a cold. I like to take Vitamin C a few days before any trip to Disneyland and while I’m there. It gives my immune system a little extra boost.
There you have it, my must-haves for any trip to Disneyland!
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Xoxo,
AP
