If you’re just starting this wedding series, you can catch up with our wedding part one here and our wedding part two here. These posts were all about getting ready, our first look, and wedding ceremony. Part three is really just a post with all my favorite portrait pictures. Especially the portraits that caught a glimmer of that magical golden hour.
There was one detail about our day that I was so adamant about having, a sparkler send off. Well, that didn’t happen. Every venue we looked at said, “absolutely no sparklers.” I mean way to rain on my parade, right? I quickly realized that I was going to have to give the sparkler send off dream up. But me being me, I still bought the sparklers and brought them to the wedding. I chickened out and didn’t try to do the sparkler send off, whomp whomp. But we did get a few great pictures of just Ryan and I with a few of the sparklers. The picture at the end is one of my favorite pictures and basically made all my sparkler dreams come true!
One piece of planning advice the I HIGHLY recommend is making a list of the pictures that you want your photographer to capture. Let’s just say I did not do this. The thought of making this list stressed me out paired with all the other wedding to-dos that needed to be done. Naturally, I assumed that our photographer knew what pictures to take, and she did. But somehow my brother and I did not get a picture of just him and I. Now, we have group pictures where the two of us are standing next to each other (thank goodness). Had I given the photographer a list my brother and I would probably have that picture together.
Next up on our wedding series is the PARTY, aka the reception and all the details that I worked so hard on making happen!
